Last night CODE
was hitting Uedama again and sadly I
was sitting in station at a trade hub as I am decced by Termites again.. er I mean Marmites. Damn CCP for that 24 hour CEO
timer.
So I sent Butthurt
Miner down to Uedama and he’s come back with a hell of story and exclusive pictures.
I am proud to report AG was in Uedama with a 15 man fleet repping freighters and
killing code. They were also killing the freighter wrecks denying Code the
loot. I’ll be honest, it’s hard as hell to save an AFK freighter but at least
CODE couldn’t scoop the loot. I have to salute the AG fleet as most of those
guys started out as Miners. I’m proud as hell of what you guys are doing.
The best part of the night happened when Chihuahua Soprano was mouthing off in
local as usual going suspect and daring people to shoot him while flying a Navy Omen. If you aren’t aware Chihuahua Soprano is the Alt of LoyalMoron. Varus Vindicti and crew stepped up and gave Chihuahua Soprano exactly what he was
asking for…

I can explain the picture, man boobs are compulsory for all of code now, the gankers are backward kids who get scared easily and after the RvB men showed them that they are little boys then they are in counselling for any type of stress and still need to suck on teets.

Well Gorila, I´ve got a lot to tell you, I don´t even know where to start...Let´s drop the bombshell first: The reason why CODE. continues to win and to succeed is YOU. And it is not what you do not do, it´s what you do. Take this blog as an example: The last post you posted was about ten days ago. Well, that´s not a big problem in fact, but the posts you post are just terrible. While some of your artwork you posted recently might look quite good and I really think that someone did a good job there, most of your blog is just terrible. First of all, there is no "Loyalmoron" or "Chihahua Soprano" in eve and James 315 also doesn´t have a glowing ass, that disappeared for some reason. Second, the minerbumping blog is just much nicer to read then your colection of offensive names, insults and other stuff for various CODE. members. Think about this. Do you want to continue embarrasing yourself, or do you want to be the leader of a competitive rebellion, which I would love to join and to be part of...but not that kind of stuff, that you post here.
ReplyDeleteNext up, we´ve got your actions you do or try to do against CODE.: While shooting freighter wrecks might be a good idea to prevent CODE. from getting the loot, it also shows, that you failed to protect the frighter from a gank. What I also cannot understand is why you try to protect the big freighters, insted of starting with more simple things like trying to protect miners. Compare it with trying to learn a new language. If you want to learn a new language, you do not start with some kind of complex grammar or vocabulary. Instead you start with simple words and expressions. Try to do the same with fighting against CODE. Try, for example to jam out Catalysts, that try to kill barges or exhumers, or leave fast tackling interceptors at gates, to stop pod-hunting thrashers. Rome wasn´t build on one day either. Just start with simple stuff, like I just said and later go on to protecting freighters.
What you can also do is try to teach your fellow highsec-miners how to behave. And I do not mean the stuff, that´s written in the code. Every insult to New Order Agents, every hate mail, that miners send to them is a victory. If you look at the minerbumping blog you can see, that at least 70% of the posts are from raging miners or other guys who recently got ganked. Imagine if all of those posts would suddenly disappear.... And I also want to talk to all the miners who read this blog: If you get ganked - well fine, I´ve been ganked too. There is no reason to wish someone dead in RL, just because he destroyed a non-real, internet spaceship. Just stay quiet in local, if they convo you - ignore them. If they send you messages - ignore them. Eve still is a sandbox, and if you have unfortunally chosen the way of a highsec miner, then it is your decission. But think about what some people write after they have been ganked. And if you have written one of those mails as well, think about what you wrote there. Would you really kill someone in RL and go to prison for at least ten years, just because he destroyed some pixels of you. Think about it....
Last but not least I´ve got to say something about you, Gorila. In this post you mentioned, that you did not want to join the operation against CODE., because you´ve been wardecced. That´s - to say it in one word - poor. You salute a guy who went out in a naga to stop CODE., but you are too afraid to undock....because of one wardec. And even if the wardec was from marmites and even if Uedama might be their "home" stystem, where they usually are flying around, what is the problem in going out in a Interceptor, or a T2 fit T1 Cruiser/Destroyer and try to do something? If you lose it, well that´s 30 million lost, I think you can afford to lose this. If I would be you, I would have gone out in exactly this situation, just as a symbol: No matter who wardecced you, no matter how many, you are always ready to fight for your rebellion and against CODE.

Well Hello Poppi. Unlike MB I do answer some replies and since you took the time to tell me everything you think I do wrong, I’ll tell you why I do it.;)
DeleteWhen I decided to do the blog I decided I didn’t want to do what everyone else had done and I also noticed no one was laughing at code. EVE is a game, and it shouldn’t be serious all the damn time. As a long time player I was laughing at code, couldn’t understand why no one else was.
Yes I know there is no "Chihahua Soprano” and James’ ass doesn’t really glow, but a lot of people have cracked up at my blog and it’s intended to be tongue in cheek. The humor at Minerbumping isn’t for me, It’s that snarky “laugh up your sleeve while we try and embarrass by publishing emails and convo’s that should be private” humor I don’t like.
As for what you think I do and what I really do in game, that’s two totally different things. You suggested I try and protect miners? Poppi, I haven’t seen you in the belts or ice fields when I sit cloaky in an ecm Falcon or my Bush Ninja Loki waiting for code to show. What a lot of ppl don’t know and I’ve kept it to myself is; if I can’t save some noob’s retriever, I try and buy them procs. It’s what I do with the donations I get. If I’m in Game… I’m out actively hunting Code. Check my Killboard.
I also don’t support or condone RL death threats at anyone. You may not be aware but it’s a subject that’s been beaten to death because certain members in code do support and condone it while claiming they don’t.
As for me sitting in station, That night my Gorila toon was camped by marmites in Dodi. There was no getting out, but that didn’t stop me from taking one of my Alts down and shooting code. I just didn’t advertise it as I don’t want CODE knowing who my alts are. If I’m IN game I’m doing something to fight code. What are you doing?

DeleteIf you belive it or not, I am NOT an alt of the CODE. agent cpt starfox. Yes I know that we´ve got very similar names and I understand that you think I am his alt (this is not only for you Gorila, but for all readers of this blog).
You mentioned in your reply, eve is still a game, and a game shouldn´t be that serious. I totally agree with this. And your idea of making the people laugh about CODE. is also a very good idea, and I like it, although it is not really my kind of humor, to give people silly names to make them laughable. But it´s your blog not mine and I´m sure that a lot of people, especially CODE. haters can laugh about this (no sarkasm, I´m serious about this). But there is only one little problem. And that is the fact that James 315 and the CODE. agents take their buisness very, very serious. And that means that you probably won´t have that much success (again no sarkasm). But if this is ok for you, as I already mentioned, you are the rebel leader an you post on this blog, so it is your decission...
Next up, you mentioned, that you never saw me sitting in a belt in a falcon and protecting miners. Well I´ve got several reasons, why this never happened yet. First of all I can´t even fly a falcon^^. In fact, I´m training for one, but I can´t fly one yet. The next reason is, as I mentioned yesterday, I am not on the side of the rebellion, but I am also not on the side of CODE. Again, your decission if you belive it... The next reason is, that while I thought about a lot of ways to protect miners from gankers, I never had the resources to do so. And again, you are the rebel leader, not me. All of this might sound like joke now to you, because I´m trying to tell you ways to stop gankers, but I do not even try to do so myself. Well, as I mentioned already a few times, I´m not a rebel and I am leaving highsec in the close future to go to low and null sec...
Next thing, that you mentioned is, that you give procurers out to a lot of miners. Well that´s a very good idea, as it is much harder to gank them, than to gank retrievers. But even a retriever can recieve - properly fit of course - more than 20k ehp against blaster damage. This of course means, that you have to sacrifice at least two of your mining upgrades in the low slots and as well your survey scanner. Of course you can fit your retriever with two Stripminers/Ice Harvester, a survey scanner and three mining upgrades, but the price for that might be expensive. Not that expensive in fact, as retrievers are only T1 barges and cost around 35 to 40 million isk. But what if you lose a mackinaw/hulk fitted the same way?...But what I really wanted to mention is: Why not make a YouTube video about gank protection? Or a series of posts on this blog? Gank protection is not a science, it is understanding basic game mechanics, rules and beiing eager to learn someting. And if you want to do something like this I would love to support you...
One more thing to mention: I think I expressed myself a bit confusing yesterday. However, I didn´t want to accuse you of supporting RL death threats or stuff like this. I just wanted to adress this to other readers of this blog...
And last but not least, if you do the artwork, then why not do more of it? I like it and artwork is in my opinion always a good way to express something. So please keep it up :)

Poppi - fine and all and OK to pick away at someone and say do this and that when you do nothing at all yourself and if you attempted any of what Gorila does, you would no doubt fail dismally.
ReplyDeleteBeauty of the internet, anyone can pretend to be someone and act high and mighty but in RL and on Eve you are probably a failure. I like the 'I am neutral' crap but I didn't see much ranting at code.
Just for the record, not only is Gorila a gifted writer but also very intelligent and funny. On Eve he is a legend but if you researched a little about him instead of looking for faults, you would know that.
Anonymous - Well, as I mentioned above there is a reason why I´m not joining Gorila and your rebel activieties, although I would really like to. And I never claimed to do things better than him. I have in fact respect for his activities, but I just don´t like all the stuff he does.
ReplyDeleteAnd second, yes you are true. I am not completly neutral. I´ve got a carebear char and a ganker char. The ganker char, however, is not a member of CODE. (if you belive it or not - again your decision). And second of all, if I want to criticise James 315 and the CODE., then I would do this on his blog, not on this one.
And last but not least, I belive that Gorila has got success with fighting against CODE. agents. But I can´t understand why he does not show it. In my opinion, that´s definitely a thing to be proud of and to show. But again, it´s Gorila´s blog, not mine
